Valley Women’s Center
Canoga Park, CaliforniaValley Women’s Center (VWC) is a non-profit, community-based agency that is partially funded by the Department of Public Health – Substance Abuse Prevention and Control, with the rest made up through modest fees and donations. Help for women alcoholics is the premise on which the non-profit Valley Women’s Center was founded. Since then, VWC has expanded its services to include treatment and programs for men, women and children suffering from substance use disorders, domestic violence and other threats to family stability. Our facility is certified by the State of California and the County of Los Angeles.
The Center offers individual, couples and family counseling in English and Spanish for concerns related to personal, family and marital conflict, incest, depression and emotional eating. In addition, we offer support groups for the chemically dependent and their families, treatment for co-dependency, parenting, and other women’s issues.
The Center services clients who struggle with domestic violence. These victims are offered individual counseling, support groups, domestic violence education classes and life skills training. Our goal is to empower and motivate clients to overcome barriers so they can make effective choices that lead to productive and healthy lifestyles.
